Sport England recently launched the Primary Spaces Programme which is an £18 million fund of National Lottery Funding to improve primary school physical education (PE), sport and activity facilities. The fund aims to help schools make good use of relatively small spaces and provide facilities which are low cost but provide a degree of enclosure, colour and innovation that will:
• Inspire physical activity and participation by children
• Enable and encourage health activity
• Develop the foundations of a sporting habit for life through a great start in PE and sport
We will shortly be starting the process of establishing a long list of capable and competent contractors who can carry out the full scope of design and installation works required under the programme. The pre-qualification process will go live on Monday April 7th 2014 and a notification with clear instructions for any interested organisations will be placed on the Sport England website on this date – link below.
