Experience

A long long time ago, back in 1982, Richard joined Wicksteed Leisure as an Area Sales Manager. It was there that he learned he had a passion for children’s play grounds which would only grow and develop over the years. After some years he joined HAGS Play as an Area Sales Manager where he gained the Btech Award for Playground design and maintenance.Richard then returned to Wicksteed as Contracts Manager before joining The Play Inspection Company in 2015.

Richard has been involved in every aspect of children’s play for nearly all his working life. Before joining the play industry he was once a Policeman.

Hobbies / Interests

Richard has been married for 30 years, he has two grown up children; one is a Teacher and the other is an Architect, his wife is a Classroom Assistant. When not on a playground Richard can be found playing one of his 14 guitars or sitting by a lake waiting for a fish to ruin a good book.
