Experience

Rick initially Qualified as a Forester through the Forestry Commission training scheme, NEBSS in Forestry, during the early 1980’s. He spent 10 years as a Forestry consultant and woodland practitioner, operating his own business. Having a creative landscape eye, he extended his business into Landscaping during the mid-eighties. This led onto securing soft and hard landcscape contracts with Playground manufacturing companies which naturally progressed onto play equipment installation as well.

Having worked in the play and landscape industry for 30 years, Rick has a wealth of experience in play and landscape design, playground installation and project management.

Rick has a track record in direct field selling experience having spent 10 years as a Sales and operations Manager for playground manufacturing companies and other associated industries.

He has trained with The Play Inspection Company and qualified to become a Registered Play Inspector International (RPII) Annual Outdoor in 2014, able to apply the BSEN1176 standards to outdoor play settings. Rick has a detailed knowledge and experience within the playground industry and a passion for implementing professionalism and a 'hard work' ethos within the industry.

Rick has a track record of delivering results within the roles he has held. He describes himself as a pro-active and professional person able to build positive client relationships, quickly gaining trust and credibility through his enthusiasm and communication skills.

Hobbies / Interests

Rick is keen on keeping fit and ensures he maintains a fitness regime that includes swimming three times a week and cycling a good 25 – 30 mile every weekend. He still keeps his hand in with Forestry management, looking after a small Hardwood plot of woodland in the South Lakes.
